I wasn’t really in Beirut long enough to get on a totally different time schedule and I flew through enough time zones that my body has no idea where or when it is. I arrived back home in Los Angeles late Monday morning and felt surprisingly good even though I didn’t sleep regularly on the flights and it was already evening in Beirut. I managed to get through a day of unpacking, doing laundry, catching up on work emails and cleaning my apartment, then on to capoeira class and a bite afterwards with friends. Feeling great right up until the point where I started to write my blog post. Now I begin to feel the mental fog rolling in and my eyelids have apparently put on weight.
So, rather than struggle through to put a few coherent sentences together, I’ll let you see Beirut through my camera lens for the evening, then more commentary on my trip later.
Now, off to catch some zzzzz’s….

Glad you’re home safely, Nailah. I truly hope you enjoyed your mini break. Love the pics and the food looks lush. Sleep sound now.

I love the colorful steps, very artistic! Was there more street art in Beirut?
Oh, definitely Franca! There is a lot of street art all over Beirut. Much of it political or cultural and sometimes with words written in English, French and Arabic.
