Looking for a Valentine’s Day Gifts for Solo Travelers?
Do Solo Travelers even have Valentines to give them gifts?
Well of course we do!
Let’s dispel one myth right away. Solo travelers are not loners who live life only to escape it. Who are hermits without any close relationships. Often, we are social people who just love the ease, the freedom and even the challenges of traveling on our own. But we still have loved ones, close friends and romantic partners in our lives. All who we would love to get a Valentine’s Day gift from.
So what are good Valentine’s Day gifts for the solo traveler in your life to show them a little love? Well, I’m so glad you asked!
Here’s a list of gifts I’ve curated as a solo traveler – ones I wouldn’t mind receiving myself!

National Parks Pass
If the solo traveler in your life is the outdoorsy type (or wants to incorporate that more into their travels) think about getting them an Annual National Parks Pass. This pass covers entrance fees to over 2,000 national parks and recreational areas in the United States.
Not only is it good for the pass holder, but also people in their vehicle if the park charges per car. Or if they charge per person, it covers 3 additional adults.
All that for just $80.00 per year!
It is also great to know that 100% of the proceeds from pass sales go back to the parks for improving visitor experiences.

A Candle from Terminal B
Time spent in a major international airport is not usually the most memorable part of someone’s trip. Still, just the 3-letter code that signifies the airport can spark fond memories of a favorite city.
Combine that 3-letter airport code with a delicious scent, and you understand what makes these Terminal B Candles such a big hit. Whether it’s the Rose scented CDG Candle for Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport or the Black Currant and Amber EZE candle for Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza International Airport (my favorite of their candles), you’re sure to find a combination of scent and location that will inspire your solo traveler.
Get the full-sized candle for their home, or a the smaller travel tins to take on the road with them.
Hotel Bathrobe
One of the great things about a 5-star hotel stay, is the feeling of being pampered. Help the solo traveler in your life bring that feeling home with them with the gift of a luxurious hotel quality bathrobe.
While they may not be able to order room service once they are back at home, curling up in a cozy robe with a cup of tea and a good book or a glass of wine and a Netflix movie can still let them feel like a special guest.
Customizable Luggage
The gift of Roam Luggage does not just mean the solo traveler in your life gets a great new suitcase. It means they get a great new suitcase that they can customize to match their favorite color combinations.
Whether they are trying to match the colors on their passport holder, or the colors of the water off the coast of Santorini, they can create a unique color and size combination that is all their own.
Mini Massage Gun
Travel can be restorative in so many ways, but it can also do a number on your body. Long days of walking city streets or hiking mountain trails, dragging luggage up broken escalators or squeezing into that unfortunate middle seat can leave muscles in knots.
While a visit to a favorite masseuse will help with the aches and pains, your solo traveler may not always be able to book an appointment. A great back up option is a mini massage gun that they can throw in their bag.
Mini massagers like this Theragun are small enough to easily travel with, but still provide enough power to soothe tired muscles. It comes with a carrying case, charger and foam attachments and weighs just 1 pound.
Language Lessons
Whether an introvert or an extrovert, solo travelers often find themselves in conversation with locals in the places they visit. How nice is it to be able to exchange at least a few words in the local language?
Find out where your solo traveler is heading next, or where they like to visit most often and give the gift of that local language. Whether through online classes, individual private lessons or in person group instructions, learning a language can be both practical and fun.
Perhaps your solo traveler has fallen in love with Japan and Japanese culture. While they are waiting on their next trip to Kyoto, help them keep the culture and language of Japan a part of their regular life with language lessons.
Book a Class Where they are Traveling
Perhaps you know your solo traveler’s next destination. Or maybe they are already in the middle of a long term stay in a foreign country. Surprise them with the gift of a location specific class in that place.
Cooking classes specializing in the local cuisine help travelers connect to the culture. I once took a cocktail making class in Cartagena and was introduced to local fruits and spices that were totally unique to the area.
For a more active option, look into activities like rock climbing, traditional dance classes or surf lessons. Not only do they allow the traveler to connect to the local culture, but provides a way to meet new people in their chosen location.
Customized Heart Print Map
There are so many ways to fall in love with travel. You might fall in love with a beautiful location that just took your breath away. Or maybe a city you visited holds a truly special memory unique to that place. An incredibly delicious meal in a fantastic setting might do the trick, or perhaps you met someone special and fell in love with both the city and the person.
Find out your solo traveler’s favorite place (or places) in the world and have them displayed in this customized, heart-shaped map. A visual reminder that travel invokes feelings of love.
Portable Bluetooth Shower Speaker
Does the solo traveler in your life like to dance or explore local musicians when they travel? Or maybe they just love singing in the shower (I mean who doesn’t, really??).
Help them keep their love of music going from hotel to guest house to AirBnb to hostel with a Mini Bluetooth Shower Speaker.
Models like this one are compact so they don’t take up too much space in a carry-on bag. The easy Bluetooth setup quickly gives access to all the music and podcasts streaming on their phone. And with 6 hours of play time, they can get through a bunch of showers and a few bubble baths before needing to recharge.
