In general, I’m not one to let anyone stop me from traveling. If there’s a place I truly want to go, I will find a way. But there are certain places where the experience just wouldn’t stack up if you’re there alone or even with a few friends.
A lot of it has to do with the location. Take Paris, for example. Its a beautiful city just made for romance, but there’s also plenty of other ways to spend your time besides leaving a lovers lock on a bridge or kissing beneath the Eiffel Tower. You can visit parks and museums, enjoy a long, slow lunch in a cafe with nothing but a copy of Le Monde, or dance until the wee hours of the morning in a discotheque.
Then there are the places where there’s not much to do other than to stare lovingly into someone else’s eyes (and then take it from there…). Or to walk hand in hand along a beautifully deserted beach. These are the kind of places I’m dying to go, but will wait until the time and the man is right.
My list of 5 places that will have to wait include:

Venice
I have actually already been to Venice with a few friends and we had an amazing time. Venice is such a classically beautiful city that a friend once joked that even if you just dropp your camera on the ground, you’ll still end with a gorgeous photo. But honestly, I don’t think I’ll go back again alone (you need someone to snuggle with on a gondola!).

I know some people may shake their head at me for having this list. For thinking that I have to wait for a man to come along to go someplace. But the truth is, I’m just a romantic at heart and the 5 places I mentioned above are places I want to experience in a certain way. And until I find that special person, there are plenty of other places for me to see, so I don’t feel deprived at all.
What about you? Any places you don’t want to go until the time is right? Or if you have been to any of the places on my list, am I wrong in assuming the are places not suited for singles?
Truly amazing post! It is really very exciting and useful. Keep more up-dates.
